WATIM[weAREtheIMAGEmakers] (WATIM) is a not for profit online publication which promotes australian artists, illustrators, designers and photographers. WATIM provides a platform for both established and emerging australian creatives to show their work to a worldwide audience online.

 

since WATIM was launched in 2005, we have showcased the work of over 150 australian creatives and published a new issue every couple of months, each featuring interviews with some of australia’s most talented artists and photographers. the site now also acts as an online database of creative aussies, providing great exposure and support for local artists, projects, exhibitions and events.

exhibitions, events and projects

 

WATIM organises and promotes exhibitions, events and projects all over australia.

 

the first official WATIM event was the 12X12 exhibition which was held at sydney's aMBUSH gallery in july 2007, click here for more information on the 2007 12X12 exhibition and to view all the artwork from the show.

 

12X12 exhibition

 

12X12 - ben frost, reka, trent whitehead, yok, beastman and ant keogh.

 

the 12X12 exhibition will be happening again in sydney and melbourne in june/july 2008, this time with a fresh new line-up of australian artists. we've got some great artists participating in the show including jeremyville, skaffs, jae copp, ghostpatrol, miso, junior and more... further info is available on the 12x12 page.

 

the WATIM all girl exhibition titled 'GRRRLs' was held at sydney's aMBUSH gallery opening friday 8th february 2008. the show featured new original works from a selection of australia's finest female artists - akina, andrea innocent, brooke bobridge, eugenia tsimiklis, kareena zerefos, lillian piri, love ariel, mel stringer, mini graff, nanami cowdroy, rebecca wetzler, smitten by stephanie and team kitten. more info and images from the show available on the GRRRLs page.

 

other exhibitions and events supported by WATIM include semi permanent, kids today, overgrowth, may contain traces of nuts, kareena zerefos, broken hands and sideways 2008.
