well i guess this is issue 03 of [weAREtheIMAGEmakers], this time round we've gone for an autumn inspired colour scheme. this issue we have got some real good australian artists involved, first up is post-pop artist ben frost from sydney, his images are a controversial visual feast of pop culture, and if you're in sydney be sure to check out his exhibition at blank_space gallery which opens on june 8th. following up ben we have priscilla bracks from queensland who is currently exhibiting her 'making the empire cross' series around the country, so be sure to check it out. we also caught up with another queenslander, lillian piri, a gifted illustrator whose preferred medium of coloured pencils mixed with her drawing style is quite unique indeed. arnie arnold from sydney brings us his perverse, shocking, bizarre and surreal take on pop art. and finally, leni kae from sydney gives us an insight on how she develops her original abstract/cubist/surrealist paintings. and yes we're still going with the artwork and photography gallery sections which we will continue to feature in every issue. this issue features works by a range of australian creatives including kareena serefos, eamo donnelly, dylan martorell, jason lingard, david sark, trent mitchell, claire letitia, john mills and many more... so be sure to have flick through both galleries right to the end. thanks to all those supporters who have given us links etc. please contact us if you are keen to help us out in any way aswell. top notch!
